OUR CONSIGNMENT PHILOSOPHY

At Second Home, it's our privilege to foster inviting environments that feel like home while nurturing a strong sense of community through sustainability. Our consignors are our partners. Quite literally: we spilt profits from selling your desirable, sustainable home furnishings down the middle, 50/50.

But that partnership goes beyond our financial arrangement. We've found that home furnishings that are loved, valued and cared for inspire those same feelings in their next owners.

Finally, nothing says community louder than an abiding love for our little corner of the planet. While parting with your treasured furnishings can stir the emotions, the positive environmental impact of re-use is one sign that you're doing the right thing.

First things first: Please download and print Second Home's consignment agreement, fill it out and bring it with you to our store the first time you wish to consign.

As noted on the banners above and below, we are currently full and do not anticipate accepting more consignments until mid-May 2026.

How to do consigment right: 3 easy steps!

Give it a final clean

Imagine the condition in which you'd expect your furniture to be if you were the buyer instead of the seller -- then do that!

Transport with care

Second Home neither picks up nor delivers, so it's your job to bring your consignment furnishings to us. Deliver with care!

Consignment window and agreement

At Second Home, our busting store requires us to attend to customers first, just as you'd expect of any business you'd patronize. As such, we have to limit our consignment windows to 11 am-3 pm on Tuesdays-Fridays. If you bring along a signed copy our consignment agreement (download in section above), we'll have you in and out in no time!

Your Ricochet account

Upon submitting your consignment agreement, we'll set up a Ricochet account, which will allow you to track the status of all your Second Home consignments online, as well as accept payments for them when they sell.

Just use the example on the screenshot to access your Ricochet acccount. Easy-peasy!

What if my consignment doesn't sell?

Consignments can be hit or miss, but we're in the business of knowing which ones stand the best chance of going home to new owners. That doesn't always happen right away -- sometimes not at all -- nor at the original price. If a consignment doesn't sell within 60 days, Second Home reserves the right to lower the price by 25% or return the piece to its consignor.
